Here’s another icon that, like Gavrilo, is of byzantine inspiration and even depicts a citation of the Sermons of Monk Tiago Kokkinobaphos on the background. Nevertheless, I’m not totally satisfied with this painting. The background inscription couldn’t have been done in a color that is so similar to that of the wings.

The four-winged angel to the left of the gold rectabulum Pala d’Oro of the Saint Mark’s Basilica in Venice inspired me to create this illustration.

A inspiração veio do estranho anjo de quatro asas azuis à esquerda no magnífico retábulo trabalhado em ouro e esmalte que se acha na Basílica de São Marcos, em Veneza.
